I hatched Dig Our Pics! when my cousin Paula decided to create a Photoblog (and I couldn't resist joining her).

We have since been joined by her friend Lisa.

I wanted to try to capture our posts and aggregate them in one place (digourpics.com). In the process, I found a great piece of software called Simple Pie. Since Simple Pie was written in PHP, I had to go and learn PHP... and in the process, I reacquainted myself with MySQL.
